Hello! Iowana Farm has 40 beautiful acres just east of Crescent, Iowa, in the Iowa Loess Hills. We grow vegetables in the field and high tunnels. Iowana Farm vegetables are Certified Organic by OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association).
Iowana Farm is divided into a north field and a south field. The north field is located in our grandfather’s barn yard. There are thee high tunnels and a packing shed in the north field.
The south field is behind the farmhouse, and is accessed on a road that goes over the ridge, behind the house. In that field, are two more high tunnels. Or you can go from the equipment shed to the field walking along a path next to Crescent Creek. Egrets. wood ducks, deer, robins bobbing for water for spring nests, snapping turtles and bobcats have beens spotted over the years.
Iowana Farm vegetables are available through our CSA program, where we offer fresh, organic farm to table produce for our members. We deliver to Omaha and Council Bluffs pickup sites on Wednesday and shareholders pickup at the farm on Saturday and Sunday.
We have partnerships with local farms that offer add on products: mushrooms, local honey, coffee and eggs.
We also sell our vegetables at the Legacy Framers’ Market at 168th and Center in Omaha each Saturday, May through September between 8:30am and 12:30pm.
